BYD Box Premium batteries do not contain cobalt. The LiFePO4 technology is characterized by chemical stability, which provides for a large cycle number and has a positive effect on the system’s security.
BYD batteries are used as part of standalone or grid-connected power plants and also in uninterruptible power systems. They are compatible with single-phase and three-phase inverters of well-known brands such as Victron Energy, GoodWe, SMA, SolarEdge, Fronius and others.
The company produces low (LV) and high (HV) voltage batteries. The modular architecture allows to create energy storage systems of any capacity in the range of 4 up to 983 kW·h.
BYD series LVS low-voltage batteries consist of modules with a capacity of 4 kW·h and a voltage of 51 volts. The modules are stacked on one another, forming blocks by connecting to each other by means of built-in connectors without use of cables.
BYD Battery Box Premium LVS 8.0
One to six modules can be combined per block. A six-module tower stores 24 kW·h of energy.
The connection of the modules inside the tower is parallel, so that the rated voltage always remains 51 volts, regardless of the number of modules in the system. Blocks of up to four modules can also be connected in parallel — up to 16 blocks in one system. Thus, the maximum energy reserve in an LVS system can be 256 kW·h.
The modular structure allows you to create energy storage of the required size in the range of 4 up to 256 kW·h. For example, eight modules can be assembled into two blocks of four modules, or nine modules — in three blocks of three modules. At any time, the energy storage system can be expanded by installing additional modules.

BYD low-voltage LVL series batteries consist of blocks of 15.36 kW·h and voltage of 51 volts. Two units can be stacked on and connected in parallel, providing an energy reserve of 30.72 kW·h. Up to 64 units with a total capacity of 983 kW·h can be used in one system.
LVL’s energy storage system can be expanded over time by adding new batteries. Due to the parallel connection of the batteries, the rated voltage always remains low, regardless of the amount of storage.

BYD series HVS high-voltage batteries consist of modules with a capacity of 2.56 kW·h and voltage of 102 volts. The modules are stacked on one another, forming blocks by connecting to each other by means of built-in connectors without use of cables. Two to five modules can be used per block. A five-module tower stores 12.8 kW·h of energy.
The connection of the modules inside the block is serial, so the rated voltage varies from 204 to 512 volts, depending on the number of modules in the device. Up to three identical blocks can also be connected in parallel. In this way, the maximum energy reserve in an HVS system can be 38.4 kW·h.
The modular structure allows to create energy storage with the desired size in the range of 5.12 up to 38.40 kW·h. For example, five modules can be assembled into one block and six modules — in two blocks of three modules. At any time, the energy storage system can be expanded by installing additional modules.

The connection of the modules inside the block is serial, so the rated voltage varies from 153 to 409 volts, depending on the number of modules in the device. Up to three identical blocks can also be connected in parallel. In this way, the maximum energy reserve in an HVM system can be 66.24 kW·h.
The modular structure allows to create an energy supply of the required size in the range of 8.28 up to 66.24 kW·h. For example, eight modules can be assembled into one block and nine modules — in three blocks of three modules. At any time, the energy storage system can be expanded by installing additional modules.
