The owner of a new house in Varna Region asked us to install an economical system for heating and hot water supply. One of the most important conditions was — during the winter season the house temperature should be positive, even with the heating system switched off.

ⓘ This article has been moved to the blog as we no longer work with heating systems. For many years now, we have been focused on building solar power plants for individuals and businesses.

To solve this task we suggested installing a pellet stove, a volume water heater, radiators and solar collectors. Usually the solar collectors are used to supply hot water, but we offered an instalation option where the collectors can also work for house heating. Thus, in the cold season, the system will provide a minimum level of heating from free solar energy.

Pellet stove BURNiT Comfort with power 25 kW, is installed in the client’s office. The direct heat output of the stove in the room is 3.5 kW, the rest of the heat is transmitted through water to the radiators and the volume water heater ELDOM Green Line with a capacity of 300 liters and two parallel coils.

We installed two solar collectors on the roof VIESSMANN Vitosol FM: one on the southeast side,and another — on the southwest. In this way, we provide a maximum period of time for heating the coolant.

In the early morning the collector, located on the southeast side starts to work, in the middle of the day the efficiency of the two collectors is almost the same, and in the evening, until the sunset, works the second collector, positioned on the southwest side.
